1985 Outgoing Exchange to China

flag of chinaIt was with trepidation and anticipation (and many inoculations) that FFK members left July 24, 1985 for their unforgettable two weeks in China. From our overnight homestay in a commune, to the Terra Cotta Soldiers, the Great Wall, the “working” water buffaloes, the Chinese Acrobats, the Ming Tombs, and a serendipitous meeting and serenade by a Chinese Opera group dining nearby, everything was interesting. The most awe inspiring were the people, especially the beautiful, curious children because we were some of the first Americans many had ever seen.
